Live bottom semi-trailer specialist ABS Trailers Inc. has launched its LRC product line. This new lighter version of the RC model allows for increased payloads without sacrificing the robustness and durability that customers have come to expect from ABS Trailers, the Manac Inc. subsidiary reports.
The new LRC model has been engineered with transversal I-beams to connect the conveyor system to the trailer frame resulting in a 30% increase in strength compared to the standard model. The subframe and other key components come standard with a galvanized finish, providing superior corrosion protection, reduced maintenance costs and extended trailer life, according to ABS. The direct connection of the conveyor accelerates the unloading speed by 16% compared to the hydraulic block connection.
The LRC has newly reconfigured pressure dials and connectors as well as the addition of a front access door. ABS also redesigned the scraper mechanism to restrict residue that can accumulate on the belt and finally, the door cylinders have been relocated to optimize the operation. All of these changes have been made with the goal of increasing the safety and ease of use for the operator.
“We are confident that companies who are looking for the newest in technology and efficiency will be very impressed with the new LRC line of ABS live bottom trailers,” ABS touts. “Not only are these new models lighter, they also generate increased revenue at lower operating costs. Our sales representatives and dealers are looking forward to discussing the many improvements included in the new LRC lineup.”
