Aurora Parts adds new eCommerce, fleet service tools

Aurora Parts & Accessories recently introduced a new eCommerce platform.

Aurora Parts & Accessories, an aftermarket semi-trailer parts distribution company in Lebanon IN, recently introduced a new eCommerce platform and a new fleet service tool.

The platform, dubbed Aurora Parts to Go, provides an “on the go” solution for equipment owners, small repair shops and mobile service technicians by helping connect them to Aurora Dealers and an e-Catalog of more than 17,000 trailer, chassis and container parts, according to the company.

With Aurora Parts to Go, users can select a preferred dealer through Aurora’s Dealer Locator and place orders for fulfillment. Dealers can be selected by proximity, or through filters such as star ratings, certifications and more. Aurora Parts to Go also features Fleet Approved List capabilities for fleets and chassis pools.

The program’s web-responsive design makes it easy for mobile service technicians to find the parts they need, whether they are on a desktop, tablet or smartphone device, Aurora said.

“Aurora Parts to Go was created with the dealer/fleet/independent service provider relationship in mind,” said David Clarke, Aurora’s president and CEO. “The Fleet gets peace of mind (with) consistent pricing and product assurance through Aurora Network dealer inventory commitment. In addition, independent service providers (ISPs) can view an approved parts list for the exact parts a fleet requires. This extends product assurance for fleets to the ISP/mobile level.” 

Fleets will have quicker access to service providers and the benefit of product assurance that comes with the Aurora Dealer Network, and retail customers will have more than 17,000 stocking parts instantly at their fingertips, Aurora maintained.

Aurora Parts & Accessories also boasts a new FleetPerform Service Locator designed to make finding service providers and scheduling service work easier for fleets. The company says its helps reduce call center follow-up calls, allowing fleets to search the database by filters such as types of equipment serviced, and types of services offered. Fleets also can add independent service providers, along with the types of services they specialize in.

“This technology expands the reach of Aurora’s FleetPerform program, providing product assurance to the intermodal industry for over-the-road maintenance and repair,” said Brad Fulkerson, Aurora’s vice president and chief operating officer.
