Michelin Energy Flaps are now standard specification on Utility Trailers and are available to all Utility OEM dealers, according to a recent press release. The rollout of Michelin's new 24” by 28” flap marks the first standard aerodynamic flap in the industry, specifically for Utility Trailer chassis.

The Michelin Energy Flaps offer advanced technological construction, ultraviolet resistance, and the ability to withstand operating temperatures from -40 degrees F to 212 degrees F. They are designed to greatly reduce vehicle drag and feature a low-flex and anti-sail design to keep the Energy Flaps straight while the vehicle is in motion, while the patented mounted surface assures optimal installation without drilling. The flap is made with up to 60%-80% recycled materials.
