Continental offers new regional trailer retread
Continental Tire the Americas has launched the ContiTread HTR, touted as a next-generation retread engineered to meet the demanding needs of trailer service across regional and long-haul applications.
Built with a lightweight, resilient compound, the ContiTread HTR delivers consistent, dependable performance in challenging environments, according to Contiental. Its robust tread pattern and enhanced rounded shoulder design offer superior durability in high-scrub conditions, making it a versatile solution for a wide range of vocations.
“The ContiTread HTR represents a significant advancement in retread technology,” said Shaun Uys, Vice President of Continental’s U.S. Commercial Vehicle Tire business. “We’ve designed it to outperform its predecessor, the HTL.”
Key innovations include:
- Rounded shoulder design for increased durability in high-scrub environments.
- New tread pattern that resists shoulder tearing and provides enhanced stone protection.
- Heat-reducing compound that preserves casing integrity for future retreading.
