In response to an “increasing frequency” of requests from members, the National Association of Trailer Manufacturers (NATM) has compiled a number of resources in the NATM COVID-19 Resource Center.

Additionally, NATM and its government affairs representatives at K&L Gates are hosting a webinar for NATM members and dealer affiliates on Tuesday, March 31 at 2 pm central time, to provide updates on the many federal relief packages available to employers and employees.  (Registration information here.)

In a March 24  letter to Vice President Mike Pence, NATM outlines members’ experiences during the outbreak, including the efforts to protect their combined workforce of 495,000 Americans. The letter further discusses the uncertainty facing the industry and the need for relief.

“Since the beginning of the pandemic, NATM has worked to educate its members, a majority of which are small businesses, about the importance of implementing the CDC’s guidance with respect to sanitizing, distancing and other elements to keep workers safe,” the letter, signed by NATM Executive Director Kendra Ansley, states. “Our members diligently follow the additional guidelines which continue to be released by their respective states’ Governors.

“We continue to strive to seek a balance between these small businesses keeping their workers producing products and the necessary steps to contain and eliminate the pandemic. We are committed to continuing those efforts as long as necessary.”
