INDIANAPOLIS -- Aero Industries Inc. announced at The Work Truck Show here that it has moved facilities and begun producing its tarping systems and trailer accessories from a newly constructed Indianapolis operations center. The building, at over 130,000 square feet, will serve as corporate headquarters for a company with operations in three states, Canada and the UK.

“Our newer, larger, more technologically advanced manufacturing center is a strong sign that this industry is picking up again,” CEO Jim Tuerk said. “We are planning for growth in the future.”

In 1993, company executives began studying the feasibility of a single site after using several different facilities since the 1944 founding. The company concluded that constructing a new building would add efficiency and much-needed capacity.

“A slower economy greatly affected the trucking industry and put a wrench in our construction plans several years ago,” Tuerk said. “It feels good to finally make this happen and see that we have emerged stronger than ever.”
