NATM names top new member recruiters

With more 34 years of experience in manufacturing, accounting, sales, and marketing within the recycled trailer flooring industry, J’Lynn has made significant strides at Shelby Trailer Services. Her dedication to advancing the industry is further highlighted by her pivotal role in launching NATM’s inaugural Trailer Expo in Oklahoma City.

In her two years on the NATM Membership Committee, J’Lynn has continuously showcased her commitment to the Association and its mission. Her guiding principle—“if you do not take care of your customers, your competitors will”—reflects her customer-centric approach, emphasizing kindness, understanding, and the importance of meeting client needs over merely closing sales.

“J’Lynn’s character and commitment to professionalism is reflected in the incredible community of trailer pros she has created over her many years in the trailer industry,” said Alex Stowe, NATM executive director. “Her readiness to engage her community of trailer experts to support NATM’s mission of education, advocacy, and overall industry success has been crucial. From championing the new NATM Trailer Expo to consistently volunteering her time and expertise to enhance Association programming through committee involvement, NATM and its members are fortunate to have a professional like J’Lynn among us.”

Brett Johnson, president and CEO of Optronics, has been a member of NATM since 2001, and has actively participated in the NATM Political Action Committee and the Government Affairs Committee.

He has played a pivotal role in fostering relationships with lawmakers and advocating for the interests of the industry through attendance at NATM’s Regulatory Roundup. Brett recalls a time when he had to explain the basics of light- and medium-duty trailers to senators and their staff. Today, thanks to his efforts and those of his colleagues, there is a heightened awareness and understanding of NATM and its mission.
