Many organizations honored achievement and recognized new talent with hirings and promotions throughout the month of March. Here's a few of them.

Truck, trailer, and body OEMs

Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company has appointed David Anckaert as chief of Product Strategy and Planning. In his new role, Anckaert will report to CEO and President Mark Stewart. Anckaert first joined Goodyear in 2000 and has held various positions in R&D, sales, and marketing. He went on to serve in various vice president positions since 2018. In his new role, Anckaert will lead Goodyear’s product roadmap and lifecycle planning.

Scott Ocholik is now interim chief financial officer of The Shyft Group alongside his role as vice president, chief accounting officer, and corporate controller. He succeeds CFO Jon Douyard while the company searches for a permanent CFO. Ocholik has served as VP, chief accounting officer, and corporate controller since 2022 after he joined Shyft in 2019 as vice president and corporate controller. Prior to this, he worked as EVP and CFO at Gestamp North America.

Motiv Electric Trucks has appointed Vince Mariano to head of Corporate Strategy and Development. In this position, he will lead strategic planning, find new growth opportunities, and drive corporate development initiatives. Prior to joining Motiv, Mariano worked as director of North American Fleet Sales for trucks and buses at ChargePoint as well as product portfolio manager for Fleet. He also served as director of Customer Experience at WEX.

Suppliers and distributors

Ryan Bugai, president of Northwest Drive Train, and Adam Sadler, vice president of Sales & Marketing at Sadler Power Train, are both new board members for the VIPAR Heavy Duty board of directors. They will each hold a four-year term and will contribute to plans for Latin American expansion, technological innovations, a new training platform, and growth in the distributor and supplier program channels for 2025.

PHINIA has hired Ron Barnes as the company’s senior sales manager for the independent and OES heavy-duty aftermarket and Aubry Baugh as the aftermarket marketing communication manager. In his new role, Barnes will lead and manage sales for Delco Remy parts, and he previously served in heavy duty leadership roles at Dayco, DRiV/Tenneco, and at Standard Motor Products. Baugh will oversee several marketing initiatives in her new role, including coordinating promotions, managing trade show materials, and overseeing branding efforts. She previously worked at Lumileds/Phillips Automotive Lighting and Federal-Mogul.

Bonnie Fetch has been promoted to EVP and president of Operations and Shon Wright has been appointed to VP and president of the Distribution Business for Cummins. Fetch has been serving as vice president and president of Cummins’ Distribution Business and succeeds Srikanth Padmanabhan, who is retiring. Wright is current VP of Cummins Components and Software and has held various roles in Cummins Power Generation, Cummins Filtration, and Cummins Turbo Technologies in his 22 years with the company.

Associations

The American Transportation Research Institute has appointed Gregg Troian, president of PGT Trucking, to its board of directors. Troian has spent 38 years at PGT Trucking, during which he has held several roles in operations, business development, and senior leadership. He is also a member of the PGT Board of Directors and continues to lead the company through the Future of Flatbed initiative.
