Morgan Truck Body, a North American designer and producer of light- and medium-duty truck and van bodies, recently reached an agreement with General Motors Fleet to increase the number of bailment pool locations.
This move will allow Morgan to more swiftly meet growing demands for upfitted Chevrolet Low Cab Forwards and the new Chevrolet Silverado 4500HD/5500HD/6500HD, as well as the Chevrolet Express and GMC Savanna.
Currently, Morgan upfits bodies on GM chassis at two plant locations: Riverside CA (since 2006) and Denver PA (since 2013).The newest Morgan plant to order these chassis cabs is in Portland OR, with additional pools opening this year in Corsicana TX (June), and Rydal GA and Janesville WI (August).
“We are very excited for this expanded agreement with GM Fleet,” said Tim Stallings, Morgan’s director of OEMs and bailment. “To increase the availability of commercial trucks to their dealers in the Pacific Northwest will greatly benefit Morgan, the GM dealers and our mutual customers. Morgan will be stocking all models of the Chevrolet Low Cab Forward, the Chevrolet Silverado medium-duty chassis, and Chevrolet Express and GMC Savanna.
“Morgan will be offering our City Max parcel van, Mini Mover Pro, ProStake platform body, solid-side LandscaperPro, as well as our dry freight and refrigeration van bodies.”
