Tremcar to celebrate delivery of 20,000th tank trailer

Stainless steel tank-trailer manufacturer Tremcar plans to celebrate the “historic” delivery of its 20,000th tanker in March by opening its head factory in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec, Canada to customers and friends.

The company said its 20,000th tanker will go to Transwood, a transportation company in Omaha NE, which will have representatives at the celebration, along with representatives from different tank industry associations across Canada and the United States.

“Tremcar wants to make this day memorable,” the company said.

“Along with the factory visit and cocktails, guests will enjoy a captive balloon flight to see the factory and its installations.”

The event is slated to start at 2 pm March 15 at the Tremcar office at 790 Montrichard Avenue in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu. RSVP Melanie Dufresne at [email protected] or 1 800 363 2158.

Tremcar said the 20,000th tanker delivery is part of what it expects will be a positive year for the company’s growth after stabilizing output over the last two years. The company said it delivered 959 tank trailers and 217 truck mounts for a total of 1,176 tanks in 2018, a “significant” increase from 2015 and 2016.

“The time has come to optimize service and production in the USA,” said Daniel Tremblay, president of Tremcar and its assets. “Tremcar USA is expanding its Strasburg, Ohio facility by developing an extra 10,000 square feet of manufacturing and tank servicing surface. Our new service center will be composed of eight bays, increasing our parts sale and repair capacity by 33% and increasing our manufacturing surface area by 33%.

“The total investment is $1 million and 20 jobs will be created.”
