Transport Services, which serves the transportation equipment industry, recently acquired Columbus OH-based Tra-Serv.
With locations in Northeast and Central Ohio, the combined company will offer sales, rental and leasing, parts and service throughout Ohio and surrounding areas.
“We are extremely excited to welcome Tra-Serv to the Transport Services family,” said Adam Therrien, Transport Services president. “Together we will be a force in the transportation industry. We are thrilled to partner with such a successful business and team. The legacies that my father, Albert Therrien, and Tra-Serv’s owner, Mike Bledsoe, have worked so hard to build will continue through our hard work, dedication and continued focus on our customers’ needs.”
Headquartered in Columbus, Tra-Serv has provided high-quality trailer and tractor repair and service to Central Ohio for 50 years and has a reputation of always taking care of the customer. The acquisition will expand Tra-Serv’s offering to its customers to include leasing and rental, as well as sales of new Hyundais and various types of used equipment.
“We are honored and excited to partner with a company of integrity such as Transport Services,” said Mike Bledsoe, Tra-Serv’s owner. “Both organizations share a strong commitment to the highest quality and service standards.
“This is an ideal match that will benefit our current customers while positioning our combined organization for continued growth.”
Tra-Serv will transition into a full-service semi-trailer dealership at its existing Columbus location and operate under the Transport Services name. Bledsoe, formerly the owner of Tra-Serv, was appointed VP of the Columbus location.
