Italian logistics company Fercam, headquartered in Bolzano, South Tyrol, Italy, recently took delivery of 80 Krone Profi Liner trailers.
Fercam said it chose the Profi Liners based on Krone’s “innovative solutions, quality, intermodality and reliability.” The new trailers feature special equipment for railway transport, Krone said.
“With our vehicles, we must guarantee our customers the safety of the goods and the reliability of the service,” said Johann Friedrich Harder, who is head of Fercam’s Bolzano branch and responsible for the company’s fleet.
About 20% of Fercam’s transportation operations involve intermodal systems, Krone said, so the company pays close attention to the intermodal qualities of equipment when investing in semi-trailers. Key criteria include maximum body strength, flexibility and “exemplary” load securing.
Fercam’s new Krone trailers, delivered by Italian Krone partner RealTrailer srl, are deployed along its European routes.
