Felling 2019 Trailer for a Cause winner Felling

Felling’s Trailer for a Cause auction nets $4,500 for CCRF

New Berlin WI resident Dan Zehnder claimed Felling Trailer’s FT-3 drop deck utility trailer with a winning bid of $4,500 in the seventh annual Trailer for a Cause online auction benefiting the Children’s Cancer Research Fund (CCRF).

Zehnder saw the trailer on display in Felling’s Sauk Centre parking lot during a recent business trip and decided to bid.

“I believe opportunities like this provide each of us a chance to be generous and, in one way, give thanks for the blessings in our lives as we share with others,” Zehnder said.

Zehnder also cited Felling’s build quality and corporate responsibility as reasons for bidding on the new light-duty trailer.

“Auctions such as this hosted by Felling Trailers tell our communities and our associates that ‘we all matter,’” Zehnder said. “It’s more than just the day-to-day work requirement—it’s all of us being family and caring for each other.”

Felling and CCRF

The 2019 Trailer for a Cause FT-3 was shipped to one of Felling’s dealer locations, Yes Equipment & Services in Milwaukee, where Dan took delivery.

“I picked up the trailer from YES the other afternoon,” he said. “All went very smoothly. Doug (Demuth) was a big help to me in the process. (He’s) a great dealer on (Felling’s) behalf. They are a very good team.”

The special FT-3 trailer was painted in CCRF’s signature grey and adorned with the organization’s emblem. Several Felling suppliers helped support CCRF through sponsorship of the trailer build, providing lighting, tires, paint and more.

The 2019 Trailer for a Cause sponsors were Trans-Texas, PPG Industries, Dexter, Sealco, Peterson, Industrial Wood and Demco.

All proceeds from the trailer sale go the Children’s Cancer Research Fund.
