Big Tex Trailers recently introduced new and upgraded car-hauler trailers, and rolled out several upgrades to its dump trailers.

The Mt Pleasant TX-based manufacturer says the latest innovations in its car-hauler lineup add value and new options, including a durable entry-level trailer with an “economical” price and higher-capacity trailer loaded with standard features.

“More choices and more value add up to more success with Big Tex,” said Johnathan Bradley, vice president of sales at Big Tex. “The latest additions to our car-hauler category demonstrate our ongoing commitment to empowering our dealers, by offering products that meet the demands and exceed the expectations of our end users.”

The new 60EC is Big Tex’s more affordable unit, which comes with “the essential features needed to get the job done.” This streamlined car hauler includes rolled-steel fenders, angle-iron frame for lower deck height and structural channel A-frame tongue. It is available in lengths of 14, 16 and 18 feet, boasts two 3,500-pound Dexter axles and a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of 6,000 pounds, and includes standard features like Big Tex’s EZ Lube Hubs and Nev-R-Adjust brakes.

On the other end of the spectrum, the feature-rich 70CH is a professional-grade choice, Big Tex said. The trailer is available in lengths up to 20 feet and offers an adjustable coupler, stylish teardrop fenders, optional 2-foot dovetail and more. A 2,000-pound, top-wind jack is mounted in a set-back position to provide additional clearance for the tailgate of the tow vehicle.

The 70CH also features a formed-front stop rail for added structure and aesthetic appeal, while standard radial tires and upgraded recessed LED lighting deliver “impressive” longevity and contribute to the trailer’s contemporary look, the company maintained.

Big Tex also added a new 10CH car hauler designed to deliver greater capacity and more standard features, including cambered Dexter axles; a heavy-duty, 6-inch-by-3-inch angle-iron frame; and a GVWR of 9,990 pounds, making it ideal for handling large vehicles, as well as equipment and tractors, Big Tex claimed.

The new models join the 70DM and 10DM car haulers.

Big Tex also is rolling out updates in its dump category, including a new length for the 90SR model, and upgrades intended to add greater functionality to existing models.

Now available in a 12-foot length, the updated 90SR offers consumers more cargo area at an “attractive” price point. The light-duty dump trailer is built for users looking to haul mulch, dirt, gravel and other loads around the home or farm, Big Tex said. Features include a single-ram hydraulic lifting system, structural square tubing top rail, locking pump box, Interstate battery with onboard battery charger, double rear doors and optional ramp package.

Additionally, Big Tex upgraded its 50SR, 70SR and 90SR dump trailers to increase versatility, durability and functionality across the lineup, the company said. All Big Tex single-ram dump trailers now come standard with onboard battery chargers, structural square tubing top rail and integrated stake pockets.

“The upgrades to our dump lineup are features that customers have been requesting,”  Bradley said. “We are committed to producing trailers that satisfy the specific demands of our end users, while ensuring they get maximum value for their hard-earned dollars, and we’re pleased to equip our dealers with new and exciting offerings to help empower their success.”
