Tiger Trailers a 'major player' after Ryder's curtainsider order

Ryder, an independent provider of commercial vehicle contract hire, rental and maintenance in the United Kingdom, recently took its first delivery from Tiger Trailers.

The 15 curtainsider trailers are for Woodland Group, one of the UK’s largest, independent logistics companies.

Ryder said it placed the order with Tiger Trailer because of its ability to produce bespoke product against a short lead team—with specification changes midway through the build.

“Tiger Trailers is now a major player in the fleet sector and able to produce a wide range of trailers, and, crucially, has proven they can deliver large orders fast,” said Ryder’s Paul Eve, area sales manager for London & South East.

The 15 new 13.6-meter (44 feet, 7 inches) trailers are for Woodland Group, a long-standing Ryder customer, with all but seven units featuring Anteo tuck-away tail-lifts. The trailer design meets Woodland’s stringent overall and side aperture height restrictions. All trailers are delivered in the global supply-chain management company’s own livery.

“Woodland’s specification requirements were exact … but Tiger simply dealt with it with no fuss.” Eve said. “Importantly, we were able to deliver to Woodland in line with expectations. This flexible approach in a supplier relationship is very important to us.”
