Wabash re-engineers Transcraft Eagle

Feb. 27, 2020
Classic combo trailer returns with lighter-weight design, greater load versatility, improved visibility as standard features

Wabash National is bringing back the Transcraft Eagle, which was one of the first combo trailers to hit the market.

The trailer manufacturer introduced the re-engineered Transcraft Eagle, now featuring new features for the 2021 model year, during the American Trucking Associations’ Technology & Maintenance Council (TMC) Annual Meeting & Transportation Technology Exhibition in Atlanta GA.

“We’re excited to show customers that the flatbed trailer they’ve depended on for generations is back with new, edgy product badging and premium features that now come standard,” said Al Cox, platform sales director.

In addition to a lighter-weight design, Wabash’s Transcraft Eagle is the only combo trailer that offers premium features as standard, including more load securement versatility, the highest standard beam rating to handle the toughest loads, additional side turn/marker lamps for better highway visibility, and limited lifetime beam and five-year wheel-end warranties.

“Our new Eagle is another example of how we continue to help customers move everything from first to final mile,” Cox said. “Our product is known for being stronger and lower weight, while having more payload capacity and best-in-class corrosion resistance. We believe customers who expect more from their equipment will find the re-engineered Transcraft Eagle as a reliable trailer that can haul more and stay on the road longer.”
