American Trailer Rental Group (ATRG) recently completed the acquisition of Dallas TX-based Advantage Trailer Leasing, which also has operations Houston, San Antonio, Austin and Longview.
The acquisition is the group’s fourth since equity sponsor Milton Street Capital formed ATRG in 2017, bringing its total rental locations to 10, with a rental fleet approaching 13,000 units between ATRG brands Meisler Trailer Rental, Fleet Trailer Rental and First in Trailer Service (FITS), which boast combined operations in Louisville and Walton KY, Evansville IN, Memphis and Nashville TN, Cincinnati OH and Kansas City KS.
“(Brothers) Richard and Garrett Vilven, along with the team at Advantage, have built a well-respected trailer provider serving some of Texas’ best manufacturers, warehouse operators, distributors and logistics companies,” said John Brooks, CEO of ATRG. “Their customer-first focus dovetails naturally into our culture at ATRG.
“Following this acquisition, our customers now have access to … a network of highly skilled mechanics and drivers.”
ATRG said the latest addition to its group of companies furthers its mission to be the go-to provider for blue chip customers across multiple geographies and industries, supplying high-quality storage, cartage and over-the-road trailers. The acquisition also moves the group into Texas, providing further growth opportunity.
