Meiborg Brothers is installing the VORTEX Safety Lighting System in its fleet of Utility and Wabash trailers.

LED Lighting, a lighting manufacturer based in Buffalo Grove IL, says Meiborg Brothers is installing the VORTEX Safety Lighting System in its 450-unit fleet of Utility and Wabash dry-van trailers.

Produced in partnership with CED National Accounts distributors, LED Lighting’s VORTEX system is an interior lighting solution designed to improve overall visibility and logistics safety throughout the cargo area.

The patent-pending design utilizes a trailer’s ceiling-to-wall junction area to protect the VORTEX components during loading and unloading, according to LED Lighting. The result is even illumination that helps minimize costly handling errors and increase safety.

After initial testing, Zack Meiborg, CEO of the Northern Illinois trucking company, said “We have specialized customers that have begun to request our trailers with the VORTEX system. In addition, we are increasing employee safety with the customized lighting systems and reducing our overall risk.”

The VORTEX system is delivered in kits for trailer manufacturers and dealers, LED Lighting said, and each kit is customizable for the unique needs of any logistics operation.

For trailer drops, an optional 120-volt power supply is available to energize the lighting system without connection to a tractor.
