Planning has begun for the 2023 Electric Utility Fleet Managers Conference (EUFMC). The event will mark the 70th anniversary of the conference’s founding and will be held June 4-7 at the Williamsburg Lodge and Conference Center in Williamsburg, Virginia.
“The return of EUFMC to an in-person conference in 2022 was a great success for our attendees and sponsors,” said EUFMC President Dave Meisel, sr. vice president, fleet at Quanta Services. “In 2023, on the 70th anniversary of the first conference, we will be providing the same unparalleled level of educational value and networking that have been traditions of EUFMC since it was founded. There is no better way to celebrate EUFMC’s 70 years of success than by continuing to serve as the industry’s leading forum for fleet professionals and suppliers.”
Meisel also welcomed Fortunato Gulino, chief automotive engineer at Consolidated Edison, to the EUFMC Board of Directors. He noted how Gulino’s 25 years of fleet management experience at the company will be highly valuable for the conference.
“The opportunity to repay the members and attendees with my experience and knowledge was a goal I envisioned since my first visit,” Gulino said. “By providing insight, navigating challenges, and learning new methods, I can help guide us through the overall vision the conference was founded on.”
In 2023, the educational program at EUFMC—Driving Safety, Sustainability & Technical Expertise—will feature presentations by fleet executives, manufacturers, and industry experts on current and highly important topics such as infrastructure, electrification, regulation updates, and telematics.
EUFMC signature events also include roundtables where fleet representatives and suppliers exchange information and discuss mutual challenges, find solutions, and develop best practices; a drive-through utility equipment demonstration, and an equipment show that is the site of more than 60 displays.
