CHICAGO. ‘Industrial Evolution’ was the theme this week as some 1,700 exhibitors occupied three-quarters of a million square feet of McCormick Center floor space here for the largest-ever FABTECH, billed as manufacturing’s premier event.

In keeping with the theme of emerging technologies, FABTECH 2017 featured a new addition, the 3D/Additive Manufacturing Pavilion and Theater, an area highlighting the latest advancements in the rapidly growing field.

The annual exhibition, which was estimated to have drawn 50,000 visitors, also featured more than 150 educational sessions detailing advanced manufacturing techniques.

And while not all of the show was geared to the needs of trailer and truck-body builders, TBB made the rounds of many exhibitors who are. The photos in this gallery offer a brief preview of the detailed coverage coming in December’s annual Fabrication Issue of Trailer/Body BUILDERS magazine.
