Scotchman upgraded its hydraulic ironworkers by incorporating the RazorGage digital length positioning system.

Scotchman Industries, a manufacturer of metal fabrication equipment, accessories and custom tools, recently upgraded its hydraulic ironworkers by incorporating the RazorGage digital length positioning system.

With the RG Digital Quick-Stop, material is accurately positioned in the models 50514-EC and 5014ET ironworkers every time, the company said.

“Combining the RazorGage with a Scotchman Ironworker, users will eliminate waste, reduce set-up time and scrap, and increase (their) production efficiency,” Scotchman maintained.

These versatile 50-ton ironworkers are American made with five separate work-stations, the company said. Using 50 tons of hydraulic pressure, they can punch a 1¼-inch hole in ½-inch plate, and a 13/16-inch hole in a ¾-inch plate.

The 50514-EC has a single punch station and the 5014-ET offers a three-station revolving turret punch station, with many standard features and equipment, including an angle shear that will shear up to 4-inch-by-4-inch-by-3/8-inch angle iron and a flat bar shear that can shear from ¾-inch-by-4-inch to ¼-inch-by-14-inch plate.

The machines also feature a rectangle notcher capable of notching up to 2½-inch-by-3-inch in 5/16-inch material. With its unique component tool table design, it has the ability to accept numerous optional tooling and equipment, such as a 12-inch press brake, rod shear, square tube shear, picket tool, pipe notcher and special custom-made tooling.
