The Defiance Company has launched the Defiance XMP, an expandable, municipal plow, with a design heritage going back to the original BOSS and BLIZZARD snowplows.
The Defiance XMP has several features designed to make it an effective tool in snow control, including foldable wings making it compact for over the road yet nimble in tight quarters. Additionally, it has a “PIVOT” feature that allows the operator to windrow snow.
The XMP is designed for light trucks and, in many cases, can replace heavy-duty plow trucks, according to the manufacturer. With ever increasing costs of equipment and fuel, the XMP is billed as being able to effectively lower costs without compromising performance and results.
Beyond saving on costs for heavy-duty plow trucks, the Defiance XMP, mounted on a light-duty allows customers to use operators without commercial driver’s licenses, the company noted.
