Rocketail, makers of advanced, aerodynamic tail systems for semi-trailers, recently hired G. Bren Marshell as the company’s vice president of sales.
“Rear tail aerodynamic devices for semi-trailers have proven fuel savings, so it was exciting to see the Rocketail Wing always deployed technology, which not only reduces drag but also eliminates driver involvement and damage,” Marshell said. “At Rocketail, I plan to use my industry and aerodynamic systems experience to help drive product innovation, and continually meet the needs and expectations of fleet customers.”
Marshell joins Rocketail following almost 10 years of experience with four manufacturers of aerodynamic devices for trailers and tractors. His extensive knowledge of trailer and tractor aerodynamics also stems from 34 years of transportation industry experience and his long-standing relationships fleets across the US and Canada.
Rocketail Wing next-generation rear-drag reduction technology for trailers is a verified EPA SmartWay technology for heavy-duty truck trailers that has exhibited a certified fuel efficiency improvement of over 3.58 US gallons per 1,000 miles.
Featuring a breakthrough jet wing design, the one-piece airfoil was certified by MVT Solutions to provide a fuel economy improvement of 3.36% and by PIT Group to improve fuel efficiency by 3.30%, Rocketail said.
