Webb acquires Stemco pre-adjusted hub assembly line

Jan. 2, 2024
Webb Wheel, which partnered with Stemco to launch the line in 2018, now will ‘seamlessly’ produce Trifecta products

Stemco recently sold its Trifecta pre-adjusted hub assembly products to Webb Wheel Products, which partnered with Stemco to launch the line in 2018.

Webb will continue production of Trifecta products as they’re manufactured today, using Stemco components to ensure efficiencies across the process, the companies reported.

“Trifecta has proven to be an industry-leading wheel-end solution since its launch, and Stemco is proud of the product we created,” Drew Coen, Stemco senior director of global marketing, said in a news release.

“We are happy it will continue to be available to our fleet customers via Webb and we look forward to a continued partnership on the seals, bearings, and axle fasteners within the product.”

Trifecta, known for its contamination and corrosion resistance, combines Stemco’s Discover XR seal, Zip-Torq axle fastener, precision bearings, and a spacer optimized for lubricant flow within a Webb hub.

“We are proud of what the Trifecta program has become through our partnership with Stemco,” said P.J. Caplan, Webb vice president of sales and marketing for OEM products. “We look forward to building upon that success as we leverage the industry knowledge, technical expertise, and product innovation at Webb Wheel to take the program to the next level for our customers.”

Stemco will continue to honor all Trifecta warranties on previously purchased assemblies, the company said.

Webb will begin taking orders for Trifecta on Jan. 8, 2024, to continue to fulfill customer needs.
