Aftermarket university recruiting for Leadership 2.0

The University of the Aftermarket now is recruiting for the next Leadership 2.0 program.

Leadership 2.0, in its 25th year, is one of the industry’s premier leadership development programs. It’s designed for light-vehicle aftermarket professionals in all market segments and job functions.

The program consists of two one-week sessions. Session I will be held Aug 11-16 at Northwood University, home of the University of the Aftermarket, in Midland MI, and Session II is set for March 15-20 in Raleigh NC.

“If you have a rising star in your organizations, we encourage you to consider sending him or her to this career-enhancing program,” the organization said.

The Northwood session will take place in the Sloan Family Building for Aftermarket Studies, a 25,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility featuring interactive classrooms, a conference room, faculty offices, auditorium and other educational assets. Its construction came through support from around the aftermarket.

Session II will unfold near the headquarters of the Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association in Raleigh.

Developing tomorrow’s leaders

Leadership 2.0 is a cornerstone in the industry’s efforts to foster the development of a new generation of visionary executives who will help drive the aftermarket to new levels. The program is an intense and intellectually challenging executive development program, offered as two, one-week sessions. A team project is completed between Sessions I and II, and participants, hailing from a wide array of aftermarket companies at all levels of the industry, must attend both sessions.

The program is led by recognized aftermarket leaders and respected faculty from Northwood and its DeVos Graduate School of Management, allowing for a collaborative mix of the practical and theoretical, appropriate for all levels of the motor vehicle aftermarket.

The Leadership 2.0 experience includes a blend of industry research and market analysis, discussion and debate of new challenges and competitive strategies, individual skills training in communication, negotiation and conflict management, insight into supply-chain solutions and industry merger/acquisition activity, as well as presentations by industry leaders.

Approved for AAP/MAAP CEUs

Participants receive 7.0 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) toward completion of their Automotive Aftermarket Professional (AAP) or Master Automotive Aftermarket Professional (MAAP) certifications. Participation in the team project satisfies the written paper requirement for AAP program completion.
