Phillips Industries consultant Robert “Pete” Joy recently received the Commercial Vehicle Solutions Network’s President’s Award, which recognizes individuals who’ve contributed greatly to the heavy-duty aftermarket.
Joy was presented the award September 10 at the CVSN Annual Aftermarket Distribution Summit in Braselton GA.
“It’s truly a great honor to be celebrating Pete’s contribution to the industry,” said Rob Phillips, president and COO of Phillips Industries. “The CVSN President’s Award for his service to the heavy-duty aftermarket is well deserved.”
The award also recognizes efforts to promote and support the independent aftermarket distributor.
Joy, who has worked in the industry for 45 years, previously won the Triangle Award from the Motor Equipment Manufacturers Association and was inducted into the Heavy Duty Aftermarket Hall of Fame.
Phillips said he “dedicated his career to mentoring talented men and women, from junior roles to senior management positions. He was also among the small group of executives originally responsible for consolidating multiple aftermarket events into what we now know as HDAW (Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week).”
He’s currently responsible for Phillips’ global business development.
“Congratulations, Pete, in receiving the CVSN’s President’s Award,” said Bob Phillips, chairman and CEO of Phillips Industries. “You’ve certainly put your blood, sweat and tears into the industry to earn it, and the industry is all the better because of it.”
