Webb Wheel Products Inc recently installed its second Link computer-controlled Rotary Fatigue Testing Machine in its 7,700-square-foot research-and-development lab in Cullman AL. This additional equipment doubles Webb's capacity for testing hubs and spoke wheels and allows parts testing without interruption.

The company does laboratory testing and research at this R&D facility, concurrent with fleet tests to determine performance of its products in actual operating conditions. A fleet test of Webb's Platinum Drum indicates a 50% reduction in wear and less heat checking, after 147,000 miles, than a competitive lightweight drum tested on the same vehicle.
