Globally, Volvo Trucks’ deliveries in October were 68% higher than in the corresponding month last year.

The deliveries to Europe amounted to 3,442 trucks, 90% up compared to the year earlier period. Year to date 22,287 trucks were delivered in Europe, which is up 39% from last year.

In South America the deliveries in October are up 38%, supported by growing domestic markets. The demand continues to be strong in Brazil, and increased deliveries to Peru, Argentina and Chile can also be noted during October. So far this year, the deliveries in South America have increased by 91% to 14 917 trucks.

In North America the deliveries sum up to 9,488 trucks year-to-date, with 1 651 trucks delivered during October—an increase of 93% compared to the same month 2009.

Deliveries in Asia are up 76% year-to-date, and 48% up for the isolated month.
