Vanguard National Trailer Corporation has chosen the STA-DRY Slim-7 trailer harness system from Phillips Industries as standard equipment for its dry van trailers. The partnership was recently announced by Rich Dessimoz, President of Vanguard.

“One way we are establishing Vanguard trailers as the most innovative and efficient trailers available in the U.S. is to build them with value-added components, like the Phillips harness system, offering our customers equipment requiring little maintenance and extended life,” he said. “The corrosion protection of the STA-Dry Slim 7™ was extremely important as we made this choice.”

All Phillips trailer harness systems have molded connectors between modules with specially designed ribs and o-rings that keep moisture and contaminants from penetrating the electrical system, eliminating corrosion problems. The molded design of the STA-DRY Slim-7 creates an even more secure connection with the maximum pull-out force associated with trailer systems in the industry. There are no additional clamps required and the design of the STA-DRY Slim-7 harness allows it to be threaded through small openings in the trailer undercarriage eliminating dangling connectors that are more prone to loosening during operation.
