UK truck registrations were up 14.7% at 3,577 in June and 25% to 47,848 for the year, according to the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT).
Van registrations were down 2.5% to 22,287 units in June and down 0.9% to 246,701 for the year. Overall, the market dipped 0.4% in June to 25,864 registrations and was up 2.6% for the year to 294,549.
Said Paul Everitt, SMMT Chief Executive, “The trend for the commercial vehicle market is generally stable, but it is far from settled and is likely to follow the course of the UK and European economy in the second half of the year.”
