Transcraft's new D-Eagle features all the advantages of the Eagle flatbed in an aluminum/steel combo dropdeck trailer.

The D-Eagle comes in 48- and 53-foot lengths and 96" or 102" widths. Capacity is 55,000 pounds in 10 feet and 50,000 pounds in four feet. A 48-ft by 102" air-ride widespread configuration of the D-Eagle weighs about 9,600 pounds. Tandem, tridem, and various other axle spacings are available.

This trailer features high-strength extruded aluminum front and rear plates and 5"-high sills. More stiffeners and lower crossmembers eliminate racking, and beams have 130,000-psi flanges and high-tensile-steel webs. Other features include mill-finished aluminum wheels and Con Met aluminum hubs with centrifuse drums.

The Hendrickson Intraax AA-230L air-ride suspension has a “Quick-Align” feature. A Binkley EZ-Shift landing gear has 140,000-lb static load rated legs, and a spiral floor pin fastening system eliminates floor screw nightmares. Heat-treated steel spiral pins keep the D-Eagle floor tight for the life of the trailer.

A two-axle 4S2M wheel-sensing ABS system is standard, which virtually eliminates flat-spotted tires and includes extended-service brake linings. The lighting system features Grote SuperNova LED lights with male pin connectors, coupled with a USA Harness wiring system that is double-sealed and locked in place. It carries a five-year warranty on parts and labor.

An optional, five-year/500,000-mile package includes electrical system, Hendrickson Intraax suspension, axle and wheel ends, landing gear, trifunctional bushings, airsprings, and all structural components. For more details, contact Transcraft, PO Box 500, Anna IL 62906.
