Outstanding customer service earned MHC Kenworth-Texas the Kenworth Medium Duty Dealer of the Year Award for the United States and Canada. The dealership received the award during the annual Kenworth dealer meeting in Phoenix AZ recently. The dealership had a sevenfold increase in Kenworth T300 sales in its 2003 fiscal year, compared with 2000.
“We made a commitment to the medium-duty market in 2001 and hired a medium-duty sales specialist,” said Dan Stevens, senior vice-president of MHC Kenworth's seven Texas locations. “We felt the medium-duty market in Texas had been underserved. We converted a building to a medium-duty maintenance facility, with five service bays and five technicians, so those customers wouldn't have to wait for service.”
