Oshkosh Truck Corp. began trading its common stock on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) July 12. The company's new ticker symbol is OSK. In honor of the occasion, president & CEO Robert G. Bohn rang the opening bell and traded the first 100 shares of the company's stock on the NYSE. Board members and other company executives were present for the event, and one of the company's Pierce brand fire trucks was parked in front of the NYSE building. "The move to the NYSE reflects Oshkosh Truck's commitment to providing outstanding value for our shareholders through improved trading efficiency and wider visibility for our stock," Bohn said. "It comes at a time when we have more than doubled revenues and quadrupled our earnings over the last four years." The company had been listed on the Nasdaq Stock Market under the ticker symbol OTRKB since its initial public offering in 1985.
