New TTMA chairman specializes in aluminum products

MENNO EBY, the new chairman of TTMA, brings a range of business and trade association experience.

A variety of products has led Menno Eby and his sons into leadership roles in several major trade associations. Menno Eby recently completed his term as a director of the National Truck Equipment Association. His son Travis, meanwhile, currently serves as a director of the National Association of Trailer Manufacturers.

Menno H Eby, Sr started the company in 1938 by purchasing a small woodworking and chair shop. Today, however, the products are made of aluminum.

Now in its third generation, M H Eby is a truck trailer manufacturer, a truck body manufacturer, and a producer of trailers less than 26,000 pounds GVWR.

The company is a leading manufacturer of punch-panel and slat-side possum belly trailers. It also produces straight- and shallow-drop livestock trailers up to 53' feet long, bulk commodity trailers, gooseneck livestock trailers, horse trailers, and a wide range of truck bodies for livestock, grain, and farm commodities. M H Eby also provides repair service and parts, sells and services Timpte bulk commodity trailers, and distributes a variety of truck equipment and accessories. The Pennsylvania location sells and services Great Dane Super Seal refrigerated trailers.

The company is based in Blue Ball, Pennsylvania. In 1990, the company opened its second manufacturing plant and sales office (in Ohio) and will open its third manufacturing plant this summer in Iowa.

Eby sells through a dealer network that covers the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico.
