Newest design from Krone's refrigerated trailer factory in Denmark is this Cool Liner folding side door reefer. All 10 doors open up on one side, leaving the full 12.3 meter (40-ft) side open for loading of long freight such as lumber from Scandinavia.

The sandwich panels for the sidewalls and 10 side doors are 60 mm (2⅜") thick. The insulation is 100% free of FCKW (chlorofluorocarbons). The chassis is finished in a KTL (E-coat) primer plus powder-coat topcoat.

The Bernard Krone A/S production plant at Hvam, Denmark, has been increased in size by a total of 3,850 m2 (41,500 sq ft). The Danish Krone subsidiary now covers an area of about 15,000 m2 (161,000 sq ft), of which 1,000 m2 (11,000 sq ft) are used for administration offices.

Production highlights in terms of technology include the new automatic panel storage system, a new milling machine for panels of 15 m by 3.4 m (49 by 11 ft), and a new assembly press. Panels are now delivered from the second panel storage area in sequence: right side, floor, left side, roof. They are then assembled in a process that lasts only 20 minutes.

Krone has invested more than 7.1 million euros in the extension and modification of the refrigerated vehicle plant producing 100% CFC-free foam and ATP-tested refrigerated vehicles. Bernard Krone A/S has stabilized its production rate at 10 units per day. About 200 people are employed currently at Bernard Krone A/S. Sales volume was about 55 million euros in 2002.
