Inland Kenworth in Fontana was named Kenworth Customer Support Dealer of the Year for its efforts in providing customers with parts and service support. The dealership bested Kenworth's 295 dealers in the United States and Canada to win the award.
Also announced at the meeting were Kenworth's Regional Customer Support Dealers of the Year. These winners by region were: Canada - Edmonton Kenworth, Edmonton AB.; Central - MHC Kenworth, Grand Junction CO;Northeast: Wisconsin Kenworth, Madison WI; and Southeast- Truck Enterprises Roanoke, Roanoke VA. Inland Kenworth was also the West regional winner.
Inland Kenworth continues to strengthen its customer support. The dealership recently invested approximately $500,000 to upgrade its body shop. Inland Kenworth also runs a full service shop with a dynometer, front-end alignment and other equipment to cover all the major component areas. The dealership offers a dedicated service bay for jobs of two hours or less.
Inland Kenworth offers some special services, including providing lodging for customers whose trucks may be out of service for an extended period of time and the cost of the repair is extensive. The dealership also has contracted with local rental companies and taxi services to help customers go wherever they need to go while their truck is being worked on."
The facility is open from 7 a.m. to midnight Monday through Friday, and 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday.
The Kenworth Customer Support Meeting is a two-day conference devoted entirely to strengthening customer service and support after the sale. More than 500 Kenworth parts, service and body shop managers, and top dealership management attended this year's event. Participants attended six seminar sessions on customer-related topics and gained useful information at a comprehensive trade fair featuring over 100 truck parts suppliers.
