Jost was founded 50 years ago in Germany and expanded into the United States as a trading company in 1980. Since then, Jost International has become a leading supplier of landing gear to trailer builders. In 1991, Jost International established its first US manufacturing plant in Grand Haven MI. More than 100 employees produce trailer landing gear at the 80,000-square-foot facility. In early 2000, Jost opened a second production plant in Greeneville TN with more than 80,000 square feet of space.
To date, Jost facilities have produced and distributed more than 3 million fifthwheels worldwide. Besides fifthwheels and landing gear, Jost manufactures fifthwheel sliders, ball bearing turntables, and kingpins.
