Schmitz Cargobull sold 3,156 vehicles during the International Motor Show (IAA), which ran from Sept 23-30, 2004, in Hanover, Germany.

Buyers came from all over Europe, including visitors from the new EU member nations who were ordering vehicles to cope with their expanding markets and the resulting increase in transport contracts.

An estimated 80,000 of the 250,000 visitors to the IAA visited the Schmitz Cargobull stand. Core products and service packages for trailers could be examined on a stand in the trailer hall with more than 1,500 square meters of space. In the outdoor area, visitors could also see vehicle systems for branches as well as Schmitz Cargobull's load securing concept. Particular interest was aroused by the trailer telematics system, an automatic system for tracing loads and trailers. This system allows haulage contractors and logistic experts to control costs and efficiency.
