Following the recently completed $4.5 million investment to bolster sub-assembly cycle times and a $6.8 million warehouse expansion, Hyundai Translead plans to invest another $15 million in assembly-line capacity at their Tijuana plant.

The first round of investment should bolster trailer capacity by approximately 25 percent per month. The newest approved expansion of line capacity will add a new production line, the company’s fifth, to produce both trailers and domestic containers in a brand new building to be constructed at the current plant location. This latest investment is expected to increase production capacity by another 30 percent beginning in the second quarter of 2006.

Hyundai Translead is a leading manufacturer of dry freight and reefer vans, domestic containers, and container chassis.
