Freightliner adds vocational unit to M2 line

Freightliner Trucks has introduced the Business Class M2 112V— a Class 8 vocational truck designed for applications including refuse, mixers, snow plow, and utility services.

Standard features include a front engine power take-off (PTO), a stationary grille and L-section front frame rail extensions. The PTO can power equipment ranging from snow plows to refuse packer bodies to mixer drums, while the integral front frame extensions provide a mounting point for hydraulic pumps, winches, front stabilizers and snow plows. The frame extensions are being offered in 12-, 18-, and 24-in. increments.

The 112V comes standard with front axles rated from 12,000 to 23,000 lb., and rear axles ranging from 23,000 to 58,000 lb. A 12.8-liter Mercedes-Benz MBE4000 engine, providing 350-hp. and 1,350 lb./ft. of torque, also comes standard.
