For the first time in 10 weeks, diesel prices increased-up 2.1 cents to $2.524 per gallon for the week ending Oct. 22, according to the Energy Information Administration.

The Midwest had the biggest increase (4.3 cents), but prices still remained below the national average at $2.502.

California experienced the biggest decline, down 3.4 cents to $2.669, but remained the most expensive region. The Gulf Coast was the cheapest region at $2.477, despite a 1.6-cent increase.
