Diesel Hike Continues

The average price for a gallon of diesel nationally increased 5.9 cents to $2.685 for the week ending March 11, according to the Energy Information Administration

The average price for a gallon of diesel nationally increased 5.9 cents to $2.685 for the week ending March 11, according to the Energy Information Administration.

Prices went up in all regions, led by the Rocky Mountain region with a 7.8-cent jump to $2.736. The increase was the smallest California, the most expensive region, where it went up only 0.2 cents to $2.899.

The lowest prices were seen in the Lower Atlantic region, in spite of a relatively big 7.5-cent jump to $2.643.
