BFNT breaks ground on distribution center

Bridgestone/Firestone North American Tire LLC (BFNT) officially began work to centralize its tire distribution capabilities in Tennessee. BFNT and Panattoni Development Co, a developers of industrial build-to-suit projects, broke ground in Lebanon TN on a 750,000-square-foot facility, which will be leased by the tire manufacturer from Panattoni and used as a new distribution center. As part of the groundbreaking celebration, BFNT also announced a monetary donation for nearby Wilson Central High School to purchase new computers.

This site will become BFNT's primary distribution center for its customers in the mid-South. The groundbreaking marks a transition from current, smaller centers in Memphis TN and Lawrenceville GA. Once completed, the Lebanon warehouse will have capacity for more than a million tires and will be the largest Bridgestone/Firestone distribution center in the nation. The facility will employ more than 200. This warehouse will be on State Hwy 109 about one mile from Interstate 840.
