The Work Truck Show 2007 brings together professionals from a wide range of industries that use commercial trucks, trailers and equipment. Recognizing this, many trade associations are using the event as an opportunity to conduct activities for their members and others.
The Work Truck Show 2007 is held March 7-9, 2007, in conjunction with the 43rd Annual National Truck Equipment Association (NTEA) Convention (March 6-9) at the Indiana Convention Center & RCA Dome.
The Snow & Ice Management Association (SIMA) will offer its Certified Snow Professionals (CSP) exam from 1-7 p.m. on Monday, March 5, at the Indiana Convention Center. The CSP Program is designed to raise the standards of the snow and ice profession. The exam, which is open to SIMA members and non-members, covers snow science, snow mechanics, corporate finance, marketing, law and human resources. The organization hopes to offer it 10 times in 2007, according to Julie Seggi, SIMA training coordinator. Giving the exam at The Work Truck Show helps meet that goal.
“We’re trying to broaden the amount of times that we offer the exam throughout the year,” Seggi explains. “Indianapolis is a nice, central location and The Work Truck Show is a good draw. Snow professionals can take the exam on Monday, then attend the show and convention the rest of the week.”
Other organizations are also taking advantage of the Work Truck Show’s popularity and central location in 2007. Many are holding private meetings at the convention center during the week.
“The NTEA works closely with other organizations throughout the year to find ways to best serve all of our members,” says Doyle Sumrall, NTEA director of strategic opportunities. “The Work Truck Show offers associations an excellent venue to expose their members to a wide range of product innovations, networking opportunities and education. We truly appreciate the support of these organizations.”
