A winning combination of 26% sales growth and an entrepreneurial staff dedicated to serving customers contributed to Rush PacLease Houston earning PACCAR Leasing Company's North American Franchise of the Year.
PACCAR Leasing Company (PacLease) recently presented the award to the Rush PacLease Houston location. The award recognizes the franchise for success in sales and for the work of its employees in delivering products and services that meet and exceed customer needs.
"It's been a great year for us," said Jim Smith, general manager of Rush PacLease Houston and San Antonio franchises. Rush PacLease serves a variety of customers, including companies in the petroleum industry and the food service industry.
"There's no question in my mind that hiring the right people and then empowering them has been a major reason why our franchise has enjoyed its success and earned this honor," Smith added. "We have a lot of great people who have a good entrepreneurial attitude. They work hard at providing customers with the service they've come to expect from PacLease, while at the same time finding ways to control costs. That's why we continue to gain more customers and keep more than 95 percent of our business."
The 30,000 square-foot Houston location, which is undergoing remodeling to expand service for its customers, will now have another award to display. In 2003, PacLease presented the Rush PacLease locations in Houston and San Antonio its North American Franchise of the Year award for 2002. Last year, the Houston and San Antonio locations earned PacLease's Southwest Region Franchise of the Year award.
Smith said the 26 employees at the Houston location continue to provide award-winning service because the company's leadership encourages them to be resourceful in responding to customers' needs. "Our sales representatives take the time to get to know our customers and our technicians attend training seminars to learn more about technology changes," he said.
"It's clear that the Rush PacLease Houston location and its employees deserve this recognition for their dedication to serving the needs of our customers," said PacLease President Bob Southern. "They continue to earn awards from our company, but more importantly the respect and continued patronage of PacLease customers."
PacLease also presented several regional awards to franchises throughout the United States and Canada for their successes. The 2005 regional franchise award winners are: Edmonton Kenworth PacLease, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada; Inland PacLease, Montebello, California; Preferred Truck Leasing, Sparks, Nevada; Cherokee Truck Leasing, Piedmont, South Carolina; Stahl Peterbilt PacLease, Edmonton, Alberta; and JX PacLease, Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
