Sweden's AB Volvo, the parent of Volvo Trucks, Mack and Renault, is planning on meeting its 10% growth target through acquisitions, a top executive told the Financial Times.
AB Volvo chief executive Leif Johansson said that it would be "almost impossible" to achieve that target through acquisitions.
The Financial Times reported that AB Volvo is considering:
-- expanding its existing 13% interest in Japanese truck maker Nissan Diesel
-- acquiring a Russian truck maker
-- an alliance with Chinese truck maker Dongfeng
