Navistar International Corporation, the parent company of International Truck and Engine, is negotiating to buy General Motors' medium-duty truck manufacturing line, according to a Springfield, Ohio, newspaper
The Springfield News-Sun reports the deal would mean an influx of 600 jobs for the Navistar International plant in Springfield as production of GM's medium-duty truck line shifts from Flint, Michigan, to Springfield.
State representative Chris Widener, R-Springfield, believes there will be "a positive announcement in July regarding the sale," the newspaper reported.
