Wabash National Corp has released its new FreightPro brand of trailers. With standard features such as an air-ride suspension, premium brakes, and corrosion-resistant DuraPlate doors, the FreightPro is designed to provide a lower cost of ownership over the life of the trailer.

The FreightPro will be manufactured at Wabash National's Lafayette IN facility. Production capacity will eventually ramp up to 15,000 units annually in 2004.

Sturdiness of the FreightPro is reflected in its high-strength nose design, consisting of four 16-gauge steel posts rated at 80,000 psi, and a front apron wrapper made of extruded aluminum for added protection. A built-in aluminum gutter prevents moisture from entering the cargo area.

Fitted with a carbon steel, powdercoated rear frame, the FreightPro also has a non-slip bumper surface for increased safety. The sidewall is durably constructed, easy to repair, and includes a 12" steel scuff for lower sidewall protection.

The FreightPro is also standard with Wabash National's patented DuraPlate swing doors, 1⅜" laminated oak floor system, and the MBS-1P antilock braking system.
