Finishing 2001 Covers Coating Technologies
Coating manufacturers will have the opportunity to compare finishing products and technologies at the Finishing 2001 Conference and Exposition, set for June 5-7, 2001, at the Donald E Stephens Convention Center (Hall F) in Rosemont (Chicago) IL. Co-sponsored by the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) and the Association for Finishing Processes of SME (AFP/SME), this biennial event serves industrial markets using advanced finishing technologies for all substrates.
Some 4,500 visitors from throughout the Great Lakes region can see finishing products and technologies displayed and demonstrated on a show floor of nearly 40,000 net square feet. About 175 exhibitors will showcase advances in powdercoating and liquid systems, robotic and abrasive finishing, and ultraviolet and electron beam (UV/EB) processing.
Held in conjunction with the exposition, the Finishing 2001 Conference (June 4-7) features half-day tutorials and educational sessions highlighting applications for powder, liquid, and UV/EB technologies. It covers finishing techniques including liquid paint system design and applications, powdercoating design and applications, coating and appearance measurement testing, curing technology, and metal coating of plastics.
Exposition hours are June 5-6, 10 am to 5 pm; and June 7, 10 am to 3 pm. Conference sessions start at 8 am.
