With just over one month to go, this year's Commercial Vehicle Show from 15-17 April in Birmingham, England, is already set to be the biggest and best yet. That's according to the visitor pre-registration figures from show organizer, the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders.
Tony Young, CV Show manager, said the registration of 13,000 is "well up on the comparative figure for last year and is a tremendous indication of the success of last year's show. We're confident that by the time the doors close, we will have seen that number more than double."
This week also saw the last available area of exhibition space being sold. According to the show's sales and marketing consultants, Crystal Communications, there's now a waiting list of hopefuls keen to be part of what is now Europe's biggest annual dedicated road transport and logistics show. Outside exhibition space has also been snapped up with over 40 vehicles covering 1,500 square meters of space.
It is the fastest growing and most successful business-to-business event of its type in Europe, with free entry available across the three-day exhibition. The event is owned by the CV Show Partnership, comprising the Road Haulage Association, the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders and the IRTE (Institute of Road Transport Engineers), a professional sector of the SOE (Society of Operations Engineers).
